THE VAGRANT is a stylized film that studies disfunction in all levels of law and crime.  Beginning with a crazed serial killer that never discriminates when it comes to murder, anyone can trigger his/her wrath!  Crossing over to the Chicago Metropolitan Police Department with their own brand of disfunction.  From breaking all the rules to stepping on each others toes the cops may drive each other crazy, or even kill each other during their investigation.  Could this be an inside job?  A Mafia cover up?  A conspiracy?  Or simply a real demented psycho killer who just happens to be slick enough to stay one step ahead of the cops.  Frustrated in their futile attempts to catch the "bad guy" and save society, do they look to the "old street smart cop" school of thought?  Maybe they need to depend on the college educated rookie to come up with some leads.  Pairing off the old street smart detective and the new homicide detective, will they take their frustration out on each other?  Could they stumble upon a solid lead that rips the case open and leads to the capture of the killer?  The clocks ticking watch this thriller to find out who will win in the end!

THE VAGRANT was actually filmed over a period of years, which adds authenticity to the scenario.  The cast physically ages right before the viewers eyes.  Filmed in different seasons on the streets of Chicago it adds layers to the complexion of the film.  Most films use makeup and sets to simulate the projection of time, while THE VAGRANT uses reality to project time.  THE VAGRANT relies on a Chicago ensemble of cast and crew,  who are well trained within the Chicago theater and film circuit.
